Information on our Out of School Hours Care

Before School Care

Before School Care is currently $10.00 for a permanent booking and $12 for a casual booking. We provide breakfast and activities for the children from 7.15am until 8.30am, (please note breakfast stops being served at 8.20am) which we then send them out to the supervised school yard. After School Care

We have 125 spaces a day available for After School Care. After School Care is currently $20 for a permanent booking and $25.00 for a casual booking. We provide fruit, afternoon tea and a range of activities for the children to participate in. This service runs from 3.25pm when the children come from their classrooms until 6.00pm. If you would like to enquire about this service, you can contact OSHC on 0459 060 001.

Casual Spaces Are Limited

If you require care on any certain day, you will need to contact OSHC on 0459 060 001 between 7.15am and 9.15am or between 11.00am and 6.00pm, or leave a message on our voice mail and we will contact you during these hours.

Bookings

To join the BSC/ASC program, you will need to fill out a registration form for each child wishing to attend. Please be aware that casual bookings incurs a higher rate as follows:

Before School Care – $10.50
After School Care – $21.00

Vacation Care

Vacation care bookings are different to BSC and ASC. Vacation care forms will be uploaded to the schoolbag app around week 5 each term. It is up to you to download these forms and fill them out if your children require care in the holidays. We do have limits on each day so book in quick. All bookings for excursions are required to be returned a week prior to vacation care commencing. Non excursion day bookings will still be available up until the day, but will incur a extra $10 non-subsidised fee. Non excursions $55.00 or $30.00 for a half day per session (half day only offered on non-excursion days) and excursions are $60.00. Opening hours for vacation care 7.15am to 6.00pm.

Technology

OSHC builds upon the BYOD* program on offer at Walkerville Primary School and allows its students to use their own devices (iPads) for homework purposes during after school hours care. Supervision is provided by staff during these times. Students also have access to the Walkerville Primary School MacBooks in the library. Additionally, OSHC provides iPads during after school care for a range of purposes, including entertainment, using pre-approved apps. Personal devices, including mobile phones and iPads are stored in a lockable filing cabinet when not in use. Please note that it is the responsibility of students to hand their devices up for safe storage until they are collected.
